It is a speculative reconstruction of the traditional Lithuanian spring custom - whipping with a branch of a juniper tree (known as "Verba"). In this performance, ethnobotanical knowledge of the juniper tree is combined with elements from BDSM culture. The roles of performer and participant in such an event are quite ambiguous, creating an electrified space for decision-making. Participants are invited to observe pain, to give it, and to receive it.
